So much for my 4K underwater drone. I spend the money on new tools now.

Probably a smarter investment....

Well that escalated quickly.

The HD kit arrived last night and the 1/2” fuel driver and Fan showed up today.

The batteries sure add up fast.

I don’t need to many more tools so I’ll likely just add a second charger, one of those LED floodlights and then start picking up batteries.

A 9 and a 12 like you have would sure be handy.

I'd say you're fine with your 4A batteries. Unless you get some outdoor equipment you really don't need the 12A. Now.. the fan will run all day on it but its not worth the cost of it. If you wait until Black Friday you can likely get a 12a battery for $159 WITH a charger. The 12A are $250 by themselves in store not on sale.

Ideally I'd like a pair of the CP 3.0's and at least one extended battery.

I'm liking the charger starter kit that comes with one 5.0 and a compact 2.0 for $199.
Or, you can get the exact same kit with a cordless vacuum for the same price;

Slickdeals is showing an expired deal where HD was selling the starter kit with a 6.0 and a 12.0 for $179. I wonder how often that deal comes around?

I can't seem to stop now...

I ordered a battery Starter kit with Shop Vacuum this weekend. This gives me an extra charger, one smaller 2.0 battery and a larger 5.0. The wife wanted the portable Vac for doing her car.

I've put a bunch of my other corded tools up for sale on Marketplace with the intention of replacing them with M18 versions. It's time to start cleaning the shop and rendering down my collection.

My Home Depot is clearing out 9.0 batteries with a quick m12/m18 charger for $149 regularly $249. Pop a coupon on top for extra.

I bought a second fan today after the kids were fighting over the first one at the last track day.

I was up in the in-laws attic this past weekend running wires for 4 more surveillance cameras. Pretty sure we wouldn’t have made it out alive if it wasn’t for the portable fan.

I don’t get scared too often but there was one brief moment where I thought I was in some serious trouble.

Did you fart in a hot attic with limited ventilation?

It reached 102F that day so it was 132F in the attic.

My heat tolerance is pretty low so my father-in-law went up for the first trip and barely made it out. Luckily he was at the hatch when he started shaking so bad he couldn't move anymore. Mom was close to calling the fire department but I was able to use my fan to cool him down and get him down the ladder.

I went up for the last cable pull and drug the fan in with me. I was trying to rush and started to get light headed but was able to stop for a break in front of the fan. pretty sure i would have blacked out if I didn't have the fan.

Definitely sounded like it saved you for sure. I don't miss the days of crawling up in attics in the summer with blown insulation and jeans/sweatshirts so it doesn't get everywhere.

Updated with a pack of M12 tools today. Thought was a good deal; 5 M12 tools for 199$ at THD. Ratchet, drill, hacksaw, light, impact. They’re not fuel but very nice.

That puts me at 7xM12 tools and 15xM18 tools. 5xM18 batteries, one is a 12A. And 5xM12 batteries, one is a 3A. One of these cordless tools is not like the other! You find it!
