Choosing the best MOTOR!!

Hi all, back on the subject again, I have received many PMs asking me about considering the ET1107.

Please let me know your honest thoughts and feedbacks.

Riders who own the motors can send a PM and others who rode can chime in as well.

I still have a month to decide any information would help.

Thanks

Just a observation:
If its honest feedback, people would not have to feed you hidden feedback, they would just post in this thread.

Hopefully you are taking the PM's you receive from people to scare to post "facts" publicly with a grain of salt.

I run a TPE1105, and so does my brother, we got the first two in the UK and absolutely love them, you wont be disappointed, and even thousands of miles away the service we get from TPE, Chris Rauen and Phil Clemmons is second to none

Some people and riders prefer to keep their opinions confidential.

There are company reputations at stake here.

I love this sport, and want to help keep it growing.

Some new companies have been working hard and spending time and money on R &D to make good products. However some are better than others as in most cases but that does not mean we won't give them a chance to improve and become better.

Hence; sending a PM about your opinion for the product you may have tried or bought is better for some riders.

I for example am on Xscream's black list for a negative review that posted years back, an example of what might happen to some riders who choose to go public with their bad experience or opinions.

I'll say that TPE does not have ill feelings towards bad comments. That's what helps changes to a better product. That says something in itself if a company gets mad about an issue with their product

I agree,

Erik at the TPE was even more than happy to hear my humble opinion and wanted to help do changes.

Great guy great company.

@Sanoman You will find one the stories on the negative review thread.

Ofcorse this is one of the things that happened to me dealing with them at that time.

Last time I called them a few years back they refused to sell me pistons and a crank for one of my fellow riders who was running their motor and did not speak English.

Let's keep this thread positive and focus on the best motor better.

I don't want to waste time over something that happened years ago or talking about Xscream.

Yup, and that was with him ordering new lower cases and a new crank. Then do the porting/epoxy and build, and ship. Plus to make it even more crazy this was the week before Havasu.

A week is an awesome turn around! I know of a brand 'X' that is being repaired for over 2 months now!
Chads Etech hits very hard, and has been very reliable (except for the hydrolocking from a testrider), it was rebuilt very fast by Etech also!

One of our wavejunkies got a 1100 Et in a little over a week just 2 weeks before wf. Having the money to stock motors and build for fast turn around is rare in this industry. Having a 5 axis Cnc and a dyno in house even more so.doesnt seem to be shoestring budget shop
