550 with trim

Finally getting the ball rolling again on my 550sx conversion ski.

ski will be running a group K ported 750 SP with twin carburetors running 650 electrics on a lightened flywheel.
9/15 hooker with a skat trak drop nozzle I am modifying to use for a flip nozzle. ski has typical 550 mods. five five zero sponsons,

decided to completely scrap all ideas on using the stock 650sx pipe. Trying to locate a coffmans or different aftermarket pipe for it. I do want to run an oversize tank since this will always be a surf ski.

going to widen the tray and I am looking into a shorter handpole.

completely threw aside the whole dual keihn carb idea and am now going single carb mikuni 46mm. (under the direction of chris newmiller) with that being said the 750 porting will also be waiting. BUT I am sending the whole thing to chris to get the works (lightened fly 650 stator rebuild and high compression) and ONE DAY it will get porting and a factory pipe. also taking off the hull caps and glassing over them to shorten it up alittle and make the solas nozzle work.

Lots of work to do still but hopefully the expensive is over.

Oh hey it me again. I made this a joke and called this the 5 year 550/750 build but I think by now that might be a true statement. Trying to make it to the March JK free ride in pismo this year.
