Freestyle TPE now DASA?

I am starting to have my doubts about Erik
Bought a TPE 1200 top-end early in the year, turned up with 2 different height pistons(Wiseco manufacturing fault)
Erik sent me new pistons
Ran the cylinder about 1hr, cylinder base bolts stripped out. Made my own out of threaded rod.
Another 1hr of running and Nikasil peeled on one cylinder.(Apparently I'm the 2nd person this has happened to)
Sent cylinder back as Erik said he will fix it under warranty. Also sent my DASA cylinder to be re-sleeved.He was away at DASA the week the parcel arrived, he collected the parcel nearly a month later
A few weeks ago he said he the cylinder back from Millenium and had the reeds I wanted, asked I email him to make sure there is not confusion on what to send(as he was busy with WF engines), which I did. He was supposed to send me box dimesions so I could organize shipping
Since then no answering of email or phonecalls

I was talking with him at body beach WF yesterday afternoon, Its gonna be a few more days till he even gets home. He's a good guy, he'll get you sorted.. I'd wait till later in the week and start trying to contact him again.

Thanks, a simple "I am at WF" would ease my mind
I guess I am nervous after dealing with Motz and getting screwed around for more than a year, only got my stuff after saying I was coming to fetch.

General question about these motors (tpe 1105/dasa 1100 etc), whats the upper end rpm range they typically would rev to with a dry pipe and total loss or even a charging igniton with an enhancer? Just curious. I realize tiny tachs may not often be used on freestyle skis for tuning. (Please no smart a$$ answers)

TPE 1200, peak hp at about 7500rpm

Something I always try to keep in mind, these guys are artists first and foremost in my opinion. Generally they don’t have the best organization/ business skills to be efficient. Mostly true in all Niche custom markets I’ve dealt with. At least Eric is trying to make it right! That says a lot. Frustrating when you spend that kind of money tho!

He recently told me his PM inbox was filling up and asked me not to message him anymore. I can pm you the number he told me to contact him at if you like.

Just got back from World Finals and visiting with a friend who has gone through some stuff.
Dasa is taking over the TPE product line. Its been in the works for a little while. This will serve the customer base much better. I still have a couple of projects in development and Dasa will receive the results.
CarbonX2 - I am sorry for the issues you have had. I did not assemble the engine, you did. I will tell you that all the 1200's at WF worked phenomenal. I crossed a line that I shouldn't, I let someone else do the work so I didn't catch the piston issue, that was a Wisco issue. You didn't state that I sent new pistons for free and I paid for shipping which was $361.00 alone just to ship to you. The cylinder plating failed, first time and Millennium covered it, and I paid for the shipping to and from for plating. You assembled the engine. As I sent you a FB pm, pistons are now DASA priced. Thanks for posting info on performance at rpm, that was for you only. I do have new spec's on porting different from what we spoke but I will not do that to your cylinder. Also, I don't like it when my porting is touched.
The PFP pipe came from the Type 9 or vise versa as it was in the prototype line. Type 9 is a good race pipe as was the r&d pipe, the two best pipes at the end of pipe development.

yup on Type 9. Use to have a pic that showed the prototype which was basically the type 9 laid down.

the octane dry pipe is the type 8 and its the only other pipe that uses the forward facing manifold like the pfp. the type 9 is an up and over the motor dry pipe just like all the other dry pipes. uses the same rear facing manifold as all other factory and riva dry pipes. the 9 chamber looks nothing like the pfp, isn't shaped the same, built the same and no way in hell the same. maybe similar chamber volume, but nobody took a 9 chamber and made it a forward facing laydown pipe.

The Type 8 was the "Flounder Pipe" that was flattend to fit in a superjet. I think FP used Rius to market it. It didn't have good bottom, which was fine for Rius because
he was so good all he needed was top. The Octane had the same tuning specs as the type 9 pipe. I know this because I went to Facory Pipe and got a tour with Mark Baxster for a few hours. I had tried to fit a type 9 into my mod blaster race boat (didn't fit legally) and Mark showed me a blaster that he had just fit the Octane pipe into. If you look at the first lay down PFP pipes they look like type 9 (indentation and all) with a welded on header section. (I know this, I had one) and even have a version in my hands.
