  • Gotcha, I cut out the foothold tonight, the foothold slides in pretty good, might get away with not having to cut it off and re-glass it. And I found out that my neigherbor can glass it for me if need be, so I should have it good to go from here. Also, I am assuming you used stainless steel screws? Did you use "drill point" screws or just plan old screws?
    cut off the part that hits the pipe and glass over the hole you just cut using fiberglass and resin..(I just use the cheap stuff from the autoparts store.)
    do you know the measurements from the front of the tray to your first cut? I don't want to cut my whole to big of course. Once I know they will fit without hitting the pipe I will through them in. There is still that concern though. You don't have any pics of your installation or anyone else do you?     Don't worry about it. Mine touches the pipe. It won't hurt anything. Finish the install. You will love them. NOBODY regrets putting in footholds.
