    650sx Cracked Tray

Kawasaki foam is much better than what’s in a super jet. You will need to peel up the floor and let the foam dry for a while. Then everything can be bonded back together with epoxy.

    Another jetting thread (Blackjack 44s)

Try them out, they will need to be a lot better in order make a difference you can actually feel. Then you will know the credibility of everyone that wants to sell you a modified carb.

Are your standard SBN 46 working?? If so leave them and pass the hacked up 44s onto another sucker.

Coffman exhaust info needed and Westcoast head

Back in 1992, mod class 550s were typically ported and propped for much higher rpm so shortening the pipe was necessary. Leave the pipe long for now and learn how to tune the carb. Then learn how to tune the impeller. I do not recommend turning up the RPM on a 550 anymore since they become so...

    Addressing Kawasaki 650sx Hood leaks

There is no way to keep water from pouring in during a sub. The best way to deal with it is a bilge pump. An OEM single carb 750 flame arrestor works best when there is a lot of water in the hull. I clamp an elbow to them and turn it toward the engine.

    Surface rust on bearing cage

This is why I say use only TCW-3 if it will work. All watercraft engines are very susceptible to rust. Petroleum and butene in cheap oil are the ingredients that repel water but they aren't the best high temperature lubricants. Try Maxima Super M, its basically a higher temp oil with lots of...

    PMF (poor mans fiberglass)

I've watch guys build airplanes with foam, cardboard, and spray adhesive. Some people like to pursue the extremes of cheap.

Surfboards have been made this way for over 50 years.

Stay with complete 62T or switch to 62T case and 61X cylinders

That will probably work well enough. Make sure it can get from idle to full power within a second or so. Any lag indicates too much load.

    Project "Holeshot" - A "semi budget" 1990 650sx

All skis turn how they turn. You need to bring another ski to ride in order to find differences.

Stay with complete 62T or switch to 62T case and 61X cylinders

One thing that is ultra important that few riders even realize. “How do you know if the pump load is correct?” Answer that and 90% of problems will vanish.

    Project "Holeshot" - A "semi budget" 1990 650sx

The 650sx is too slippery to turn flat and you have to slow down more to get it on an edge than you would on a 750. On a tight course or on the old slalom the 650 is a lot of fun. You have to lean first then turn the bars once its on an edge. Riding a Superjet you lead with the bars then it...

FX1 Build; Wide Tray, Shortened Pole, Kawasaki 140mm Pump Swap

I like slots in the gunwales for general riding. If the top edges are too thin I have to wear boots to keep from bruising my legs.
