Super Jet SN build, Rocker, Chopped rear, this website made me do it!

Been so busy the last few weeks I hardly had time to touch the ski. But the bondrails have been cut off and I’m in the process of putting some new modern ones I made on. Going to aim to chip away at it every night this week. Also no idea why it’s turn my photo sideways when u upload it here. It’s right side up in my photos on my phone.B17F6161-555E-436C-BD9C-CBEE81211992.jpeg

Slowly coming around. I have been working on this for 8 of the last 9 days but it’s so slow cause I do a little work and have to go wit 24 hours to remove any clamps and do a bit more and so on. Hopefully by the end of this coming weekend the rails are completely done.33DB5C8F-51C7-4B32-BC75-B04F9AC9427B.jpeg8AB565AE-0FF3-4DCD-B6D9-8D53EBD8C04B.jpeg

Got all the glass layers up on the top side of the rail. Just gotta trim to size once I flip it over and glass up a few layers on the underside of the rail.View attachment 349780View attachment 349781
I have been down all week, I hurt my back and had a herniated disk, been going i the chiropractor and doing some physio exercises and I’m getting my mobility back, got down tonight to work on the ski for a few hours I have not giving up.

Rails are glasses in top and bottom side now and almost done trimming them aswell. 93 lbs is current hull weight, it’s getting closer to completing the major glass laying, then on to paint prep.

Merely I have been working on the ski more than making posts about it. For the last little while I have had the ski upside down and been working on the entire bottom deck, but mainly the nose area. Tonight I finished up the last glass lay in the entire outside of the bottom deck. Once this cures I’ll have to finish sanding and microballons the whole thing, get it close to ready for paint before flipping it over to finish the top deck glass, which is not much.6C35CF14-4BFE-47A1-A3B5-67582E6AE82E.jpeg6608A7DF-9B8A-4242-A25C-EECA1CC4427C.jpeg0EF3305C-32C3-48D2-9BE8-2D9795780857.jpeg6608A7DF-9B8A-4242-A25C-EECA1CC4427C.jpeg0EF3305C-32C3-48D2-9BE8-2D9795780857.jpeg

What materials did you use when you glassed in the bottom part that you cut down? And how much? Just chopped the rear on my AN and looks like you know a lot more than I do about making it right.

Thank you

P.S. awesome build

Just used west systems epoxy and lots of it, and three different thicknesses of fiberglass cloth depending where it was being payed and how much I needed aswell as how tight radius I needed to go around. I cut the back and off just after the second set of ride plate bolt holes, and angle cut it so that it’s real short. If I remember right it was around 5.25” off the back bottom deck.
