Dry smart key storage on SXR 800

Anyone have a good idea for locating a dry storage on the ski that is not under the engine cover ? When I ride I can lock everything in my truck but I wish I had a spot to get to the key without removing the hood. I did some searching but found nothing I really like.

I use DryPak for skis, biking, etc.

Get a door knob lock like the real estate agents use at Home Depot for about $20 and lock it to your hitch where you chains hang and pit your car key in it.

I have these that I make $35.00 just pop the round cover and you have room to put your oil,tow rope,cell phone etc.

To be clear you make a flat piece of aluminum plate to cover the hole ? I thought that was a backfire protection thing ??

you still have the 2 intake tubes to relieve pressure in the case of a backfire.
