Blowsion (just bad business)

First of all let me start by saying I am a dealer for many vendors. Blowsion use to be one of them reluctantly. Some things are decent priced for dealers, some are zero discount but they always seem to have something I may need (well, I use to think so)..

So here's my complaint. Shipping and Invoices... and parts not in stock. I've probably ordered $10k in parts this year alone. Shipping has always been high on most things. On my last order it was split into 2 because "as usual" they don't have something in stock. First order came showed $28.25 shipping.... 2nd order came about a week later (1 part that was left out of order) and shows $28.25 shipping plus a line charge of $12.xx shipping.... I emailed Scott and told him that shipping was kinda riduculous and it was a joke around the forums about how a $3 part cost $15 to ship... The emails started to get condescending between us (mainly because his invoices don't add up correctly with shipping, you apparently have to add up all your parts, and deduct them from the amount charged on your card to get actual shipping charged, not what invoice shows )... and he said "nobody seems to have a problem with our shipping or invoices" which Is a joke... I could write a book how this all went down, but basicly he thanked me for my constructive criticism by removing me as a dealer. .....
So these are the issues with Blowsion
1) Shipping costs are high
2) Never do they have in stock an entire order (they call me on 75% of my orders saying xxxx is out of stock)
3) They charge shipping on those items they ship that they were out of stock on
4) They shorted my order for JetRenu, never credited it, never sent it (as of today that I know of) and won't reply to emails
5) If you don't see eye to eye with them they will just not sell to you ( as per an email to another customer of theirs I'll post below)
6) God forbid you "cancel" your order when they call you to tell you 6 out of 10 items you ordered are out of stock (they act stunned that you will purchase from someone else)
7) The website is terrible for being a large retailer, It should show "out of stock" when items are.

Scott seemed arrogant in his email in his belief that nobody thought there were any issues with how this company is run... I just did a google and came up with several complaints..

Here's another customer just a few months ago... where the customer was shown the door because of his "input"

So baiscly if you want good service, good prices, fair shipping and know if something is "in stock" use another vendor... I often use JM, Thrust, and many other small vendors that seem to actualy care about customer..... instead of the "if you don't buy it someone else will" attitude of Blowsion

High Speed Industries

Your one stop shop for quality parts @highspeedind
Is it their own products that aren't in stock? Or is it other things (something they don't make) like an impeller or piston.
Sadly the company has changed drastically since John has passed. I'm sure Scott and Jordan are trying, but they have some big shoes to fill. I know the company doesn't act the same at all. They've had some team riders leave, surf slam isn't as good, and they get more complaints over the past two years.
With that being said smaller dealers such as myself and distributors are always happy to try and meet your needs. Sometimes a Blowsion product isn't always the answer. There can be other alternatives depending on the application.
Hopefully the boys at Blowsion pull themselves together because they are a big name in our small industry.

the stuff is usualy stuff you'd have in stock... not custom stuff.. flow control valves, steering, list goes on and on... i don't get impellers or pistons from them or specialty stuff, if I did, i'd understand more on not having stock

I miss the old John Dady days of calling him up saturday morning and asking for custom crap for my FX1 and him sending it out Saturday afternoon (time zone advantage) with a few beers and some branded swag in the box. Literally he shipped me bottled beer several times for install entertainment.

Small stuff like custom 144 pumps, hand pitched props, cut driveshafts...

Seems things have changed over the last 20 years

Sorry to hear about your experiences John.
