Setup right, an 1100 sxr is a blast. If your wanting to jump, get a SJ.Would it still be a rocket ship with the extra weight ? Not sure how much heavier a 1100 weighs .
Roughly a Pound per CC, so YAM 700cc Engine weighs about 70+ lbs and a KAW 1100 Engine weighs about 110+lbs.
Stock SJ weighs about 300+lbs, Stock SXi/R 750/800 weighs 400+lbs; a 100 lb difference...
Hull Shape, Power Band and Pump differences determine the ride performance.
SXR 1100 is for racing.
Don't know anybody who rides a ski "Dry Weight"; Fuel adds about 30 lbs to the total weight.
My numbers were approximate (did you notice the +) to show the roughly 100 lb weight difference 'tween a SJ and an SXR which is what matters, but since you want to get precise...
SXR 800 Dry Weight = 352lbs plus a 4.5 gallon Tank = 27lbs, Total Weight = 379lbs
SJ 701 Dry Weight = 291lbs plus a 4.8 gallon Tank = 29lbs, Total Weight = 320lbs
Your SJ Dry Weight number is wrong for a 1994 SuperJet, which is what faceplant2 rides...
SXRs have wet tray areas with a drain plug. They use closed cell styrofoam that doesn't retain water. I have dual Versi-plugs on my SXR to drain the water in there ASAP.Kawasaki doesn't have foam ?
