    Engine power problems

Ok so we tested the charge coil and pulser coil and they were both in range and almost exact with a known good stator. On the ignition coil, it has new wires and the MSD boots. From what I read, the MSD boots do not have resistors. What would happen if you ran non resistor plugs? The ski...

The plugs and boots seem fine but not ruling anything out without confirming first. It has MSD boots that look brand new and has a nice solid click on the plugs.

Not exactly. Felt like a rich bog that lasts waaaaay too long.

    Engine power problems

Hey thanks for that. I have the service manual as well but it didn't occur to me to simply test the parts first. I have a spare stator, coil, and CDI but it would obviously be smarter to test his first. The electronics are sort of a mess. All of the stator wire connectors are outside the box...

    Engine power problems

I went through his carbs completely after he did so they have been cleaned twice. He pulled the carbs and tried different jetting just to see if it would change more times then I could count and the problem stayed. To clarify, its not a normal rich bog or lean hesitation. It will literally lug...

    New 750 x2 build

Yeah I have an electric bilge but still have the stock in as well. I think mine will be fine for now. Anything is better then the stock selector and barely going past neutral position haha.

Maybe so. The trim system I bought is made to work with the set up like it is (pushing) so probably wouldn't work so well. I just trimmed that piece off the inside of the nozzle that sticks out (like a tab) so it could tilt up as much as I wanted it to. I feel like changing the nozzle would...

Yeah same here. I'm sure it'll be easy to get used to. Hydraulic system would be nice if they weren't so much $$$.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it. I don't have to worry about finding a diagram or tracing stuff now; you made it easy. I definitely wanted to shorten the stator wires...they are waaaay too long.

I figured I'll just cut the spark arrestor box where it needs it and use it for time being but also figured going to cone style would look nicer and be less clutter. If you could give me the rundown on the wires that would be awesome if you already had it all figured out. I haven't attempted...

Man! You sure are moving fast! I just pulled a ZXI motor for my X2 the other night. Did you pull the e box out and say omg that thing is massive? Have you tried to put the spark arrestor box on the carbs yet? Just wondering how it will fit. I'm thinking it will hit the hull a little bit.

    New 750 x2 build

Yeah I think I will just strap the box to the tank for time being. I think the only thing I will have to get is a throttle cable since I am using the stock twin carbs. I would be excited to ride the 900 X2 if I were you haha.

Ok, so is it ok to use epoxy resin with woven mat? I'm new to fiberglassing so trying to learn some stuff. Are you still going to use the 750 for the X2? I have a 95 ZXI same exact color and everything that you have. I don't ride it, just let others use it but I was going to do the same thing...

Did you use epoxy or polyester resin? I know epoxy resin isn't supposed to be used with chop strand mat, but not sure about woven mat? That being said I've also read not to use polyester resin on our hulls. I am assuming woven mat must be really thick/strong since you used only 2 layers?

What kind of glass did you use? Also, how many layers?
