1 SJ, 1 B1, 1 truck, 1 person, 0 trailers

I thought I'd share my budget ski hauler setup. I'm using the EZ-Ski from Chris for my SJ, pretty simple stuff.

For the B1 setup I'm only in it for about $500. Wireless 2500 lb ATV winch from Harbor Freight was $60, the 800 lb capacity Gorilla cart was $90, my quick release stainless pin was $35, and the rest was miscellaneous hardware and tie downs. I already had one folding motorcycle ramp for my R1, so I grabbed another for $80 and the 5th wheel tailgate was $100 on craigslist. It works great and I can load/unload 2 skis completely by myself. I go to a lot of lakes in California which has 55 mph towing speed limits everywhere. No thanks. Also, none of my property is flat and trying to maneuver a small ski trailer would be a disaster.

The cart handle is great to pull on because it keeps the wheels straight. But once you get close to the winch you run into some space issues. I use the 2 tie downs in the corners as a come along to take the tension off the winch and hold the blaster.

This spring-loaded pin makes this whole process super easy. The handle was bolted on previously (with a nylock nut), kind of a pain to get to and remove when loading/unloading.

And she's in!

The 5th wheel tailgate couldn't have fit the B1 hull any better.
