1989 550 steering queastion

I have a 1989 550 and it has the small piggybacked add-on kwick turn plate that mounts over top of the stock plate. It seems to work pretty well, but it still feels as if it should turn a little quicker/farther/responsive. My question is...would it make a difference if I pulled it off and bolted on an entire quick turn plate? Didnt know if the entire plate style would be the same, or if it would make a difference over the smaller kwick turn style add on?? What are you all using to get a good responsive, save me from falling, quick turn.

thanks,

Anybody? Need to know the difference in a full kwick turn plate, the tear drop add on sale bracket, and the round bracket style. One better than the other??? Help...lol

They do the same. Sounds like you have the Ocean Pro Quick or is it just a Blue "Arm". Both work and do the same as the turn plate. I prefer the plate.

the arm quick steer allowed for more steering angle compared to the oceanpro quick plate that had steering stops that limited travel.
And iirc the lever was a tad longer also.
