2015 Rickter EDGE Photos

wow! BIG differance between the two. the length, the angle, the radius at the trailing edge is much sharper.... a 'comparo' will be sweet!! :)

I will pull them both off for a comparison picture to get a better idea. The lengths looks to be about the same. The angle and radius of the trailing edge of the sponsons are definitely different.

I have ridden my buddies hull both with and without the sponsons. It makes the ski feel like two completely different skis. With how drastic the sponsons change the ride of the hull I would imagine that these changes on the new sponsons will make a seriously noticeable difference. Having not ridden mine yet I can't say for sure that the change will be any better or worse, but we all know Rickter has never been one to takes steps backwards.

Here is a picture of my hull!

The thing looks incredible in person. Now we gotta get good video later this month of the 2. I love mine I can't brag about it enough sofar. Your carbon one with big motor will be nuts.

That's a hard hitter you got. I bet that thing is a blast. Yet the edge is able to rip corners and pretty much be a do it all hull. I road lawlors in surf and it was so powerful so responsive. You could no doubt fw flip that combo, run a race course and shred surf at high speeds with that same ski.

Well I pulled the sponsons off and compared them. Couldn't find much noticeable difference between the two. Left me scratching my head as to why they appear so different on the two hulls.

Then I figured it out. The bond rail is about a 1/4" longer/wider on my hull just in front of the sponsons which makes the transition from the rail to the sponson much smoother.

It seems like this is probably more of a cosmetic change than anything else but might make a minor change in ride characteristics.

I apologize for over thinking it in the first place but it appears the pictures had more than just me fooled lol.

Can you tell me how long is the edge is, from the front of the nose bound rail to the back end of the hull which is in the water in a straight line please. As I have a freestyle ski and it's 66 inches. As my thoughts are that 76 to 78 inches would be a great length for surf ski.

Jason184 measured mine it was 78 inches. It's the perfect length for a free ride hull. I wouldn't want anything shorter at all.

Just have to wait on it now from across the water. That will be my project this fall to get it ready for Daytona
