650/X-2 650sx with mods only going 47?

So last year I bought a 650sx and it has a 44minukicarb, reeds (not real sure what reeds do and interested where they are and if I can clean/replace them) not sure but seems like a stainless steel impeller kerker pipe after market head compression 150 about and more I’m missing but I feel it is slow and very heavy I only got about 47 and I’m thinking about putting in a 750 and running dual 44s but that’s for the spring. I weigh about 140pds (I’m 13) and I lean all the way back and my grandpa had me going about 47 on his ski. Is this reasonable it felt kind of slow but at some point the hull had a big gash in it but i don’t think it was me I think it was the previous owner but I filled it in. Thanks

Only going 47? That is fast! For a 650 them stock speed is near 37, but you can only get you right speed with a GPS, a ski on the side is not a good reference you are probably going on lunch 43 44

Yeah there not topspeed Kings. But also you are at 150 psi with a aftermarket head you might want to see what cc domes you have. It should be at 150 stock.

What speed are you looking for?

Unless you can modify the cdi, that is about all your gonna get. I had a ported x2 with dual 38's, pipe, head, etc. 46-47 was it. It got there quick. Pegging rev limiter.

Ok thanks for the info I want to build a different 650sx but it has to be the 91 year and I want to put an 1100 Triple in it but I don’t have a 91 Hull so if anyone has one laying around near pa let me know

Why a sx hull? A 750 hull would be much better. It will handle speed, cornering. The sx hulk is great for long distance crushing. But aggressive riding is not is shining points.
