SXR 800 to 1100 swap

Is it worth the time/money? Ive got a running 800 setup w/ dry pipe I would consider selling to fund the swap if the pros outweigh the cons

Depends on what you are trying to do with it and what you expect out of it.

Keep in mind dropping in a bone stock 1100 with no supporting mods is nothing impressive and fairly disappointing honestly, to the point where an 800 with a wet or dry pipe could potentially walk away from it on a long pull.
They need simple mods to wake them up and make them actually enjoyable. Advance the timing at the stator and in the ebox, mill the stock head, dry the pipe out, get the carbs rejetted with flame arrestors, make sure you run a proper water box, bore the nozzle, add some decent front sponsons, and get a good prop. They are pretty fun to ride at that point.

I need a new coupler for my FPP dry pipe... the manifold to chamber one. Thinking I read somewhere the stock 650sx coupler is a good substitute? I do have one... otherwise Blowsion sells them but theres a few different kinds and not sure which one is the correct one. Can anyone throw me a bone
