If this turd can do it, I am pretty sure someone here can built a better one.
The electric engine, propelling the same Big foot style wheels, caught my attention
I think is built from an electric wheelchair motor.

tried with a dual motor electric wheelchair.works ok on hard surface but once in sand,it bogs down and sucks battery power asap.plus heavy with the batteries.possibly gear it down with a toothed belt drive but didn't get that far yet.
have a ryoby gas cultivator.gonna try it next with a belt drive to the wheels.gotta keep the braaaaap!

LOL ! The appendages on the front are temperary , it climbs well , I have sand tires and allum wheels for it , its all allum tube with pins , presently its a wooden power box that I want to make alum also

Very cool, this is a project I plan to tackle this year sometime. I have a surf spot 1mile from my house, but I cant do the over sand pull back to the van by myself.

thats what this is all about.......

blaster800 nifty idea, how much weight can it handle and how long till it wipes out the batts, Im thinking a small gas motor would be better, but in our case on the beach, they have a no motor vehicle deal so they might buck on a gas motor

I was gonna say that looks like a quad in the above vid also, you can see he put a towel over the handle bars and gas tank and removed the rest the plastics,he was trying to be covert for some reason, prolly the same as us.is it legal or not.lifeguards all over our beaches and the trip from the road through the dunes down the beach to the water is LONG

Ya I am going to try to do an electric setup as well for the same reason. Gas motors just attact attention. I have an electric scooter that can haul my 180lbs @ 15mph for 30-40mins per charge. I dont see how though some gearing that same motor cannot move a ski at 3mph. All it has to do is take 60-75% of the load off your back pulling and it would be fine for my use. Sucks because this is the only thing stopping me from surf riding EVERYDAY.

Thanks Kraqus , I chose these dimensions for stability it could be made narrower but as you can see it makes the inland rocky washed out lake shores much easier to navigate when its stable ./ TB : yup... thats the hull ../ Masterblaster : this will haul more weight than you want to put on a 2 wheel dolly , I actually used 4 bearings on the axleshaft, as far as distance I dont know yet , Im using a sealed high capacity battery from a ski and Im pretty impressed with it . FWIW gearing and tire size need to be matched and are pretty fussy to get right . I reccomend using alum rims with 1 or 2 ply tires '' very soft'' ,those wheeleeze or rolleze wont take the torque that can be dished out from the power unit so I dont recc. them '' I have some on the shelf and i would not chance it ''....... If you want to build one start your build with your tires and rims and build to match from there
