Building a jet ski hitch hauler

I am going to be building a hitch hauler for a kawasaki x2 that i want to pick up, and i need to know the space from bar to bar for it to fit nicely in the hitch hauler , any ideas on how wide i should weld my bars apart from eachother

Yup, just started on mine today too but it’s probably way overkill, 24” of 2” solid bar stock with 30” of 2.53”x 1/4 wall hitch stock.

Clean your metal and your welds won’t look so bubbly and leave slag everywhere. Good start fab your self and then you get what you want. Maybe add a swing out that would be cool.

The color is a light plumb I think, maybe fuchsia but with a computer screen its hard to tell. Happens to be my favorite color ;)
so the exact color is a Violet purple and it has a ton of flake in it but you cannot see it in the pictures this is because her ski is exactly the same color. this carrier was built for our first sponsored Rider Kelly Hieke who happens to be the first female to perform a backflip on a jet ski let me see if I can round up a picture of her ski.
