300/440/550 cutback impeller on a 650 & impeller i.d.

just wondring if anyone has run a cutback impeller on a kawi 650, i have a 650 sx, and am getting another x-2 over the winter, and i have about 4 various skat trak impellers laying around, and was thinking of getting one cutback for some more bottom end brap, anyone ever try this?

also anyone know the pitch of a skat trak that has 4 imprinted on it and one that has 3 6 V on it?

13/16 variable, and 14 straight. You will never get the Brap you want with any of the standard 650 impellers, have a custom swirl made up and set it back. If you have enough engine, they hook up like mad and send much more water through your pump. Notice how small the hub is compared to the hub on a slimline, it opens up the pump inlet and won't restrict the water entering the pump.

crab, did u have dave at impros do that? i'm definately gonna hafta get in contact with him for this. I think i should have enough motor to push it, running a 650, ported, bored 30 over i believe, dual 38mm mikunis, jetinetics total loss ignition, westcoast exh. manifold, coffmans exhaust & waterbox, milled stock head to 180 psi. and in the pump department, i'm in the process of blueprinting my own pump, and i have a wet wolf cone for it. i also have a bored nozzle laying around as well if need be.

I had my skat cut back and a bit of twist added to the tips to open it up, by Island Racing, earlier this summer for my 800cc-650sx and it made a world of diffrence.:Banane01: I wanted to go with Impros but they were none responsive and I'm impatient. I read on PWC that they were moving or the main dude was having issues, blah, blah, blah. But I recently ordered a new JD ride plate from Impros and they munged my order up. I asked and beleive paid for 3 day service 6 days ago and received notice from UPS that it was sent ground today and should expect it on the 28th. Aahhhh! Did I mention I'm impatient!!!! :banghead: I ask for 3 day and get 14 instead.:frown: Go with Island Racing!

Engine looks fine, I had Robert at Jetskimechanic order one directly from scat, it took about 6 weeks. 12/17

I cut back on the leading edge of an old tore up 650 impeller, approx. 1/2 inch, then tapered it in... motor spun up quicker and seemed a bit faster too
