First time out EVER on a AM hull

You should try a setup wake or find a boat with a decent wave. I personally don’t think that’s got the power to 180 flip.

Right on, thank you. I am figuring out the setup wake, timing and everything. Dont have it down yet... I was doing 180s and kept having the ski come over on me so I figured I would give the 180 flip a shot. Lol.

I think when I jump, I am not staying forward enough or maybe I am just going too slow... maybe both... the ski wants to go nose up and lands on the ride plate almost nozzle... dont know how else to explain it. When I keep my weight forward on the ski and in my toes in the holds, it jumps much flatter and lands more on the intake grate.

I was surprised. I expected it to make it around. The rip I just sent down the road would 180 to flip easy, and it was a simple bored 701. I think there is much more to had out of the OP's setup
I think I can make it around. Watching the video, I see that I did not lead the ski with my body or anything. Just did a 180 and held the trim and let the ski do what it was going to do. I dont think I pinned it either. Pretty sure my middle finger was behind the throttle lever on every attempt. Lol. Still learning and feeling this whole thing out.... I can see the appeal of a finger throttle but not sure I need one. Probably just need to ride more. Hahahahaha

Day 3 and 4 were awesome.

Day 3 I nosed in a backflip off a double up wake between 2 boats... no video sadly.

Day 4

Took a lesson with Chris Anyzeski and he helped me tune in my ski better. I am still working the 180 flip. Chris did some slide 180 flips on the ski and nosed in a double on the ski too so, the ski can definitely do it... it was pretty cool to see him on my ski. I was hoping some skills would have rubbed off on the ski for me to pick up but... nope.

He did however get me to 180 flip on the ski he gives lessons on.

Chris is an awesome dude. I learned a lot today about my ski, tuning, setup, and riding. Plenty of stuff to work on and grow in. My ski is certainly running better than it was and I got to feel what a 180 flip feels like.

Anyway, here are 2 videos. One of my best 180 flip attempt on my ski and the 180 flip on the Freestyle Connection ski.
