Flywheel and stator shredded

I’m new to working on jet skis, and this is my first superjet, but I think it’s safe to say my stator is toast and most likely flywheel too? Looks like it took some buckshot or something lol. Should I replace with oem flywheel or one of these lightened ones I hear about? Everything else is stock.85B5211C-4F7C-48E0-90D0-591AAB4A51B7.jpegD74764FA-8C32-44DE-A9FD-375A0F4135C0.jpeg

wow! Are the stator bolts loose? did you shear your flywheel key? Might as well replace the bendix while you are at it..

Yeah I’m not really sure what happened...what is the flywheel key? Here is a pic after I cleaned it up a bit. Is there a way to tell if my Bendix is still good. Appears to still have all the teeth3DFEBD96-CEC9-4261-8417-6F0E29BE1FCE.jpeg

flywheel key is the part that goes into the grove in the end of the crankshaft and the grove in your flywheel. Pull the bendix out twist it open and check the weights inside. Should be 3 of them.

That is some impressive carnage right there! Makes it hard to decipher root cause as well.

The stator plate is shifted all the way to the extents of the screws but that would be expected with that much impact....

The outermost screw for the pulse coil is sheared off and I can't quite make out the inner screw. Is that a thread I can see, like the screw possible came out and caught?

Next thing is crank bearings gone, allowing enough movement to reduce clearance to zero?

Or just loose stator screws in general. Clearances are tight already so it really doesn't take much, especially at 7000 RPM.
