Freak jetski accident, damaged hull

Well today I finally finished my 760 superjet build, it has a blowsion head pushing 200psi, dual 44's tuned by ski clinic, b pipe, msd enhancer, the waterbox and some other nice parts, I was riding it for only 30 minutes and man it ripped, the ski loves getting big air out of the water, I am new to superjet and started learning some good nose stabs, I was getting pretty inverted and I got almost upside down on one and landed sideways in the water. It snapped my pole and at the same time it snapped my start stop switch and pinching the throttle cable wide open! The ski took off in a straight line down the river and made it about 75 yards before hitting the bank and going airborn about 15 feet high, I watched this happen while my friend on a 550 chased after it to shut it off, he tried to hit the stop button un aware of the snapped switch and nothing happened so he jumped back on his ski and ran back to me yelling "I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO" I then jumped on his ski and rode to it and jumped off of the ski on to the bank and hit the stop button, still nothing, then I picked the pole up and it took the stress off the cable, slowing the ski down to the an idle, I then pulled the hood off and ripped the spark plug boots off which thankfully killed the ski, how the ski lasted a little over a minute wide open I do not know, people came and gathered around while I was really pissed off at the hole situation and YES I WAS WEARING A LANYARD, the switch broke before the lanyard got pulled out, some guys on sit downs came over and offered me a tow back, they pulled me to the ramp and I got the ski in the bed, I took it home and looked at the damage

-cracked fiberglass up near the gas cap
- bottom of hull has nice big cracks
-both couplers sheared into pieces idk how
- probably melted some couplers or gaskets

So here is what I want to know, do it guys think that motor will be ok? Should I pull he head and install new o rings, that's what someone recommended, I was planning on picking up a hurricane hull in 2 days fml

Now for the carnage

Ouch! I had the same damn thing happen. Ripped the stop wires apart. I was lucky enough to hang on until it got stuck in the reeds where I pulled the plug wires off. Bought an aluminum pole after that.

Damn!!! Glad your and your friends weren't hurt. Fxck!!!!!

I'd prolly start with a compression test first and see where your at, then pull the head and look at the cylinder walls. If you pull the exhaust manifold too you'll be able to see the exhaust side of your piston skirt, all three of these should give you a pretty good indication of any damage occurred

Man that sucks thank your ok .the ski can be replaced you can't

That's insane! Aluminum poles only. Coupler prob broke due to something jamming up in the pump when it was spinning at wot. I'd pull the pump apart and look at your shaft and prop as well.

wow! thats pretty nuts! Ive had the return spring on the carb snap leaving me WOT, but thankfully it didnt leave my hands and i shut it down. Sorry to hear. it looks like your pole wasnt epoxied, only riveted. Id guess the coupler broke when something like a branch got shoved into the pump at WOT. id guess the props toast. I hope that the damage is minimal, but be sure to post what you find, I am curious how everything held up to this.

"it's all okay, I'm just getting a new hurricane"
Lol

I was looking at the green hurricane for sale on the forums since the day it was posted and was talking to Garrett about picking it up, well now that the superjet hull is no good looks like it's time to upgrade to that ski, I actually had planned two days ago to pick it up on Thursday and doing a winter build with swapping the 760 into it

We're all just jealous we couldn't all have aftermarket hulls when we were 17. Lol.
