Hauling my jetski on my pontoon boat ideas

Wife and I sold our house and are going Full Time RVing, bought a nice toy hauler and going to snowbird. Down side is we can't bring the boat with us. So throwing it up for sale sadly, hopefully the new ride spots and access to surf make up for the loss. Looking for 16k obo, if we don't sell this fall its not a big deal as we will use next summer before we hit the road. Boat is located 30mins outside Spokane, WA.

Nice clean turnkey jetski toon. Will post in sales forum too.

I leave my ski on the boat all the time now and just lock it to the boat. When i want to just take the ski out I swing it out over my double trailer and drop it and off I go. I have 3 gas cans mounted to the back deck and a tool chest I keep on-board as well.

Couldn't be happier with how it works and how the boat rides.

Only thing I plan to change this year is to replace the tie-downs i use with cut to length straps.

Very nice man! We went toy hauler 5th wheel so I could use the garage as an office, need quiet space for my conf calls etc, otherwise we might have gone your route. Going to spend winters in southern OR, AZ, CA we are thinking. Can't beat our current spot for summers though so we will be coming back.

We are actually buying a LWB Sprinter Van and converting it into a camper, then towing an enclosed trailer for the toys.

Bought the jetlift cart and a hitch hauler for my jetski, it is going to be in the toy hauler with me, can't give up skiing. And yea, only had the toon a few years..but we got the chance to make a big change and took it. Should be exciting, thanks man!

Man I've seen some pretty cool ideas lately on pontoons. I'd like to get a newer one that has a back deck area and put one there.
But it is nice I can haul 2 right now.

I do both. Just depends how long I'm stopping for. It will still take on water sitting on the mat. So if it's a big break, I just pull it up on the boat.

I also used some of the angle iron that came with the cherry picker to lock down an outer edge. The Steel plate on top of the deck is about 2x the surface area of the aluminum plate underneath.

I just bought a Superjet in advance of the wife wanting a pontoon boat. Now seeing this thread, I will need to try to incorporate the two. I'm wondering if there are things to consider in a used pontoon boat to help accommodate the ski. A large front area forward of the railings would be good, but then it will also need to be buoyant enough to handle that weight way up on the bow. If lifting into the forward/central deck area, then maybe just ensure no canopy risers or other obstructions? What about length? Citizen's boat was a 20 footer, so maybe it doesn't really need to be longer than that? Although it would seem like a longer boat would have more buoyancy and would be less particular about having a ski on board. BTW, I live in SoCal, so use will be in the local lakes and occasionally Lake Havasu.

If others have done this, please post on your successes and tips for the rest of us!

That’s what you need but good luck finding a new pontoon with large front deck these days. Seems like they don’t manufacture them like that anymore for liability reasons.

I’ve always thought the best setup would be a bunk setup that would be angled up over the outer rear pontoons (for 2 skis) and winch it up. Seems like they now give you rear decks instead of front.

Yeah mine was a 72 Harris Floatboat... got it for $500 bucks without a trailer... guy thought the motor was bad but come to find out he was mixing the gas wrong...lol... I recarpeted it bolted a grill on the back and it was a perfect mobile dock.. went well with the stand ups and Mastercraft... sold it for 4k
