Last year i redid an sxr for a rider(jd) and it was a little bit of a project. I wasnt sold on it as a mod but it was already done and he needed me to redo it as it was a little bit of a mess. It turned out pretty good and he really liked the ski.

Recently he brought me a new project, and this one im really excited to try out. Its almost done as far as my work and hopefully when its rtr he will put up some pics too.

The kit is very nice and has patterns for cuts and was pretty straightforward to install.

Jd also had a desire for a seat and we got a few more ideas spitballed. Ive been wanting to do some blaster parts and now i have a super cool, super motivated guy to push me to get my mojo back!

Sorry for cell pics but these were basically update pics for him. Trying to get him done for daytona.b1 front.jpgb1 back.jpgb1 bf.jpgb1 br.jpg

have a finish layer of skim coat and glass on bottom front, tank mounts, I glassed ex and grab handles and just have to skim those w filler, make and install ex tube, gelcoat bottom and a few extra layers for tow hook in front. not pictured but completed is I removed the oem mount for the back rideplate bolt and reinstalled so it still runs 4 rideplate bolts.

I also am reworking the gelcoat cracks around the back and installing a plate to beef up the back under extinguisher area. then its his turn to finish it up. But im still not done, I will be making a few rideplates, a seat, some angled bondline fins, footholds, or possibly combine the 2? idk its all just talk until I start shaping and creating. Like I said Jd had some things he definitely wanted and I was trying to fill out the rest of his build with some trick parts. Im shooting for delivery on or before sat 22. keep ya posted

Alright, technically done but not delivered on the deadline. So i made an exhaust tube but it was waaaay to big so i used it as a support under the rear tray as JD was wanting to address the stress crack that all blasters have. Made some super large pyramid fuel tank mounts20181220_173242.jpg20181220_173227.jpg
