JETMATE yamaha swap 760

Mine is a 701 swap. Hit 38 on some chop yesterday. I think on a flat day 40 is achievable.

Stock 701, stock jetmate exhaust, zeeltronic ignition.

welp..... got mine in the water.. the motor runs good but the vibration at off idle to 1/4 throttle is so unbearable that i consider my jetmate to be pretty much out of order. i usually send my mother sister girlfriend and guests out in it, but i will not be. apparently this is "normal" with the rhaas motor mounts. its so awful that these mount should absolutely have been recalled or replaced. what a joke. anyone else have this issue? its like too loud of a vibration for my lake. its unreal

video was before i tuned it in completely

oh yes and has anyone stripped out any motor mount threads on the conversion plates? they are less then 1/4" thick i believe, and have aluminum threads. so you grab like 4 threads at most. there should totally be a steel thread insert. one was stripped when i got the plates, and upon final install i felt atleast 2 start to strip and was so disgusted that i left them.

pretty unsatisfied with the rhaas kit. they need to remove the listing saying that the kit is for a jetmate

The Rhass motor mounts are stiff. But work well. I was told to use wave runner mounted mounts on mine. Have t swapped them out yet.

If you're using the lightweight engine and driveshaft couplers make sure there is a little gap between where they mate (like move the engine forward a touch if you can). This fixed a vibration issue that I had in one of my skis.

How about you get the engine running right before you cry online. You clearly have no idea about engine theory from the video of you trying to start it.

Probably best to take this to someone with mechanical ability to adapt. Not someone who can just follow pictures and instructions.

lol sparkplug i like your enthusiasm.... but......... as i already mentioned (please read entire thread).... the engine was not fully tuned in the video. when i inquired about the insane vibration, i was told by many many people that thats how the rhaas motor mounts are. this vibration pretty much killed my motivation on the ski. but this vibration is definitely not due to a tuning issue. this 760 motor was in a running ski. i put it in the jetmate and had planned to tune as needed. i know how to do this and have built many skis. the video was taken on the maiden voyage.

however, here we are a week later and i have got it running much better with just the tuning screws. i do plan to pull the carbs and change jets slightly and pop off as well once i get low profile air filters.

if you have any helpful advice i am all ears.

You're not the first person to have told him this.

Mine vibrated until I had the motor dialed in.

If your idle is unhealthy or too low it's going to shake.

Robin Haas makes good products. I'm very happy with my swap.

i just watched my video again and i will say that the vibration is way worse than the video makes it seem. its mostly at 1/4 throttle.

low speed jets ill swap this weekend, and pop off ill adjust when i get low profile FA's

i got the high speed tuned in this weekend. it runs best at 1/8 turn out so i am going to downsize the jets 1 size. i will keep the staggered jetting that i believe the 760 has
