Beat up -4 fiberglass Titan

My 12 year old is going to do as much of the labor as possible. It's time the boy learned. He sees it as his ski, and it is, but it's also my backup ski, my wife's ski, and a loaner ski for any buddy that may go ride with me that needs one.

This is day one. Junior is put to work removing what's left of the turf.
Next he will be cutting into the tray and resealing all the fittings, glassing in the huge drain holes, filling it with polystyrene, and reglassing it.
Then it will get a aluminum pump shoe, all inserts checked out and repaired as necessary, body work/repair, sanded, painted, turfed, built, and graphics.
The boy has to start somewhere. In two years he will be 14 and can legally go ride surf with the local crew.
I have a 727, pump, and an ignition ready to go for it. He will need a pipe, pole, steering, and various other tidbits to finish it.

Lol. He will definitely be earning the privilege to ride it with a lot of sweaty, itchy work. Its actually beat up worse than you see in the pics, and it may require some previously done glass reinforcement to be removed and redone.

Out of town for two weeks, getting caught up at work, and finishing the turf job on Blue's ski in time for the Sebastian Freeride have put things on hold a bit, but tomorrow he cuts into the tray.

Lol. Screw you Don! Here is Blue's ski I just did. One piece and no seams on those superfreak sides baby.....That's right.View attachment 320857
I'm not sure the tray cutting is happening this weekend. Hopefully tomorrow.

You got a turfing template for the sides?

I would be interested in a template as well :D. I'm compeltly lost on how to turf my freak.

Great project for your son, McDog. Badass hulls are still at the top of the heap after many years, mostly for the strength of the composite layup and ride quality.
