Meanwhile, in Canada

Or how about The Prime Directive :D Do not interfere with lesser advanced civilizations...you know you wannna :p
Something I just saw recently was on YouTube, it was the new hardware the forestry division is using now. A machine that can cut through a 24" thick tree in seconds, while keeping hold of it in the upright position, then flips it down, scales down the trunk stripping off limbs as it scales and cuts 8 foot sections...in seconds! Do we really need to destroy all the forests in the world overnight? lol I also heard or saw something recently about how China destroys some 4000 trees a day for the sole purpose to make disposable chop sticks! Seriously?! ...chop sticks...of all the wasteful things, obliterate your natural resources to produce an item with a 15 minute life span?! It just brings me back to Bugs Bunny lol...

Yep, they call it a cap n' trade system. They cap how much a province can produce, to be allowed to produce more that province has to look into other provinces or countries that are producing less than the established cap and swing deals to trade whatever for their unused allowances. It's exactly what CRJ said...just a money grab. They expect everyone to accept it but they won't go into details in ways the general public can understand to explain it. Nobody I know is aware of what the cap limit is, where these numbers come from or how they come to determine those numbers. It's all another revised version of the rabbit in the hat. Hey CRJ...remember when they were supposed to scrap the driveclean emissions testing? lol...yeah, me either! Haaahahahahahah!!!! It was a farce to get us used to paying for a bogus certification to keep our vehicles on the road. They said it is only temporary, it was meant to get the old "carbureted gas guzzlers" off the road. Man were we ever had over that one lol.

Funny thought, my buddy's old carbureted '84 Mustang would get twice the fuel economy of his '86 fuel injected..."advanced technology to get rid of the gas guzzlers"! We were just talking about it last night lol. Same with my old truck, 1990 Ford F150 with a 302 5.0L v8...68 liter tank and went for about 469kms on a full tank. My last F150...2003 with a 5.4L and 120L tank...350kms on a full tank under premium driving conditions. I went to Crystal Beach once with that truck and my round trip fuel cost was almost a grand. Pretty sad for "advanced technology" to consume 7 tanks of fuel in about 1200 kms lol. Needless to say, that truck is long gone. It lasted 3 years in my possession and that was enough. The carbon tax people would love that truck, they would make a killing off it lol.

120L gets you 350Kms? ouch, my 2011 F150 5.0 gets 900Km to 125L. And i live in the emission free area of ontario. (why half is and half isnt tested, i have no idea). I remember before i changed tires i was getting 1000-1100K to a tank on the truck, again, only about 125L. They are still hinting they may shut down the e-test program, but that wil increase cost of license renewals im sure.

Too late lol...license fees went up again last year. Awesome ain't it? Lol...3 or 4 years ago 78$ for sticker renewal, two years ago 106$, last year 120 lol...I just got my reminder, 120++ ...I kinda wanna puke again thinking about that lol

I know it's wrong but my evil gene thought this was the funniest chit I've seen all week.

The story is that these are sold as sticky traps for wasps in the Canadian Superstores and a bird loving couple found they trap much more than wasps.

Those poor things! They're one of my favorite little critters too. I could imagine what they thought when they landed on that crap "something's not right here!!!" lol

Seems like a whole lot of overkill for wasps, last I remembered wasps were only about as big around as a pencil and as long as an eraser.

Who was the crazy out on their Jetski around jordon bridge, Ontario in Lake Ontario on Saturday? lol
