Super Jet Need all the help I can get!

I have been chasing a problem and I am all out of ideas on what it can be. I was riding this past Friday and my ski was running great, I took a few minute break in the water and just floated in the water with my ski. I got back up on it and it was low on power, no snap and had a gurgling sound. I have 61x in my Superjet with a girdled head, cheater b-pipe and an aftermarket water box.

I have tried different needle and seats, pilot jets and all my electronics are good.

All the help on ideas or if anyone has had the same problem and got it resolved I am all ears!!!

I had a similar issue a few years back, although not sure about your gurgling sound. Ended up having the spline on my shaft worn down to where the shaft was slipping, causing what seemed like low power. Not the first thing I would check if I was you, unless the motor seems to sound ok.
Otherwise it’s the long process of elimination of possible issues (fuel: line leaks, filter clogged, carb needing rebuild.... Air: exhaust leak, carb needing rebuild, pulse line,... Spark: electronics, faulty/dirty plugs, plug wire/boots...)
Good luck

Could be getting water in the motor some how. Try doing the same thing near shore. Pop out the plugs and see if they have moisture on them. Such could be caused by a leaking head or pipe. A small leak could be burning off while running but be building up while sitting and not steaming off fast enough once the motor has cooled. You can shine a light into the plug holes. There should be carbon build up on the pistons. If they are clean then they are probably getting steamed off. Sometime having water in the exhaust and rocking the ski to the right lets water back into the cylinders.

I'm no expert. Always fact check me.

So I use to have a 64x/62t motor in it with my girdled head, pipe, and water box and was having a weird sound when the ski fires up and it was no power at all. I then put the 61x I mentioned in my post in my hull and it worked great and sounded great and then my symptoms of no power and a much different sound out of the exhaust came back. I post a video so you can hear the “running good” sound vs. the “not good”.
