Today I got some a lot done for the couple hours I had to work on her. I started stripping the whole ski (about 40% done.) and layer down some duraglass on the fuel door fill and rear deck.

Today's work, more sanding and sanding and sanding. Got the top all stripped (not doing the footwells). Did a little shaping to the top by the steering. Also got the hood sanded and filled a vent hole back up. Started filling on the front bumper trim.

Not too much today, sanding down front and filled a few low spots. Filled in crack on the side of the compartment. And ran filler down the sides and on front to get any waves out.

Well I got a little more done tonight. Got the front all smooth other than a few pinholes I put some spot putty on. I really like how the front came out. Got the sides covered in filler and will get sanding on them tomorrow. I should get the top done tomorrow then on to the bottom and fill. Planning on painting Saturday.

Got a lot done today. The top is now 90% done. Looking pretty good. Nice and smooth. (Forgot to take pictures before I flipped the hull.

I flipped it over to start on the bottom. Got the front foamed up about an inch. Stripped the center and covered with filler. And also ran 1" tube thru the hole for the driveshaft.

Did you use epoxy or polyester resin? I know epoxy resin isn't supposed to be used with chop strand mat, but not sure about woven mat? That being said I've also read not to use polyester resin on our hulls. I am assuming woven mat must be really thick/strong since you used only 2 layers?

Ok, so is it ok to use epoxy resin with woven mat? I'm new to fiberglassing so trying to learn some stuff. Are you still going to use the 750 for the X2? I have a 95 ZXI same exact color and everything that you have. I don't ride it, just let others use it but I was going to do the same thing before summer hits (put the 750 in the X2)

Edit: Nvm I see CSM has a binder in it that doesn't dissolve well with epoxy. Woven mat is totally different so I guess it is fine with epoxy resin.

Yeah still puting the zxi motor in. It bolts right up and you can either use the 650 elec or do what I am doing and use the 750 electrics and just mount the box

Yeah I think I will just strap the box to the tank for time being. I think the only thing I will have to get is a throttle cable since I am using the stock twin carbs. I would be excited to ride the 900 X2 if I were you haha.
