Super Jet new rider on a decked out superjet

what’s up guys new rider here, finally got myself a ski last week and found this forum shortly after. figured i’d share some pics and keep some kind of skill growth thread going, maybe share tips and whatnot as i learn. i’m also in lower NY if anyone get wants to come ride my local lake or meet up on the hudson river or your own spot in the tristate area.

only have about 15 hours of seat time with stand ups, most of which being on this new ski haha. however i have a bunch of dirt bike trail riding experience from when i was younger and a few years of supermoto street/track experience so i’m not totally clueless when it comes to gas powered toys.

but anyhoo here’s some info on the ski; 1996 superjet with a custom airbrush job, carbon reinforced hull, front sponsons, footholds, bilge, scupper tube/verse plug, rivia ride plate, worx scoop grate, scat prop, custom pole, xscream ported cylinder, wiseco pistons, ADA head(pump gas domes), dual mikuni’s, r&d intake, B pipe, and some MSD goodies!

Welcome! It looks like some sort of top-secret government experiment and the face in the back reminds me of Vic Rattlehead (Megadeth mascot). I'm still new as well so the only advice I have to give is keep riding and don't let go.

yeah i saw right away everyone’s biggest tip is to not let go haha. luckily i live 2 minutes from a lake so it’s been fairly convenient to get out on it almost every other day since i got it.

Nice ski, congrats! Funny actually from the area and remember coming across that one when looking for mine. Mines a bit more of a work in progress lol. How is riding Greenwood lake?
