Guys, you can't just bolt on a pipe like BUN and have it work perfect out of the box. It may work better here or there but to get it to work as you see at WF,s, that is a whole nother thing. It's a tuners pipe. Derrick and Eli Kemnitz deserve a huge amount of credit for the tuning of their boats. Eli's boat was very impressive and Sr.'s may be more but they are world caliber tuners and they did a lot to get "the package" to work the way they did. You also have to give them credit for seeing what others missed til now. The PFP pipe is plug and play, the BUN is more complicated, but for top tier packages, it has possibilities! This new RP pipe looks to open another possibility, with a little development. Damn winter getting in the way.


Contrary to popular belief, a good tuners time is worth its weight in Gold!

The way I see it it every Freestyle program is a 5 piece puzzle that goes like this:

1) Rider
2) Tuner
3) Pump
4) Engine
5) Hull

The order seems to get debated every time I bring it up but the way I see it, a poorly tuned set of top of the line parts won’t hold a candle perfectly tuned set of moderate components. Get all 2-5 right and you have a beast. But without the most important piece of the puzzle(#1) and you don’t have squat...
 
Are bun and this pipe both wet pipes then? Looks more SIM to rrp pipe. What is the stinger diameter and length on these.. What's water box setup like? Upside down? So more water holds inside baffle. More pressure.

wet pipes raise engine compartment temps higher than dry pipes also, which means a less dense oxygen supply to the motor, which creates less power.
cold dense air means more air in the motor. that's why you have to turn screws out in the winter and in ,in summer.
if your pipe sizzles when water hits it, your motor takes a big gulp of steam/water vapor instead of oxygen.
