OK.... so our hook up for camping this year crapped out. I know that sucks, but we're gonna have to do a hotel this year. The Comfort Inn Presque Isle is located on West 12th and is about a two minute drive from the park entrance. Currently the online room rate is $132/night and I'm waiting to hear back from their sales manager to see if we can get a deeper discount. Rooms include: ample parking, outdoor swimming pool, free wi-fi, laundry service and free buffet breakfast. I'll update the post if I get better pricing. I would recommend booking your room now as it appears this $132 price is a special offer for early season booking.
I'll update the post with details about location, planned evening events, etc... later when they develop, but if you've attended the event in the past you know most the details. There is no registration fee and we don't limit types of skis, but generally there are only standups and Blasters in attendance. The event is always family friendly and kids welcome and encouraged to attend.
Additionally I'm going to follow up with Lake Erie BMX to see if we can get the track for Saturday morning before we hit the beach.
