Can't comment on your carb settings. On your pipe setting, you might close one of the open 2 off, just leave one open like it. Check pipe chamber temp after a few minutes of riding.

That's just kinda close to what Factory B says for best bottom end (what I am aiming for) .
 
Did some horse trading for a wet jet 46 carb with intake and carbon reeds. I also went through and fixed a few things that I never finished. But now I need a new battery so I spent yesterday jumping it every time I wanted to ride. Then i had a bad off and took a ride plate to the shin which put me other the rest of the day. But the ski wet runs awesome and can't wait until next month to take it back to pismo

Well haven't been working on it much, but have been riding it a bunch. Seems to like the 46 but was out in the ocean last weekend and started running a bit rough but still makes really good power. I need to do a compression test on it, might be due for a top end.

Guess I can say I winterized my ski tonight.. ended up pulling the turf so I can start the tray project. The foot holds were poop st best. But they held in for the most part. A few screws and a few layers of glass strips and that was it. Due to the lack of any prep work mad the job way to easy. Only took about 15min to take the turf out and most of the glass work came up with it.

I cut the tray and the foam was wet. So I cleaned it out to get ready for the new footholds. Looks like I will be winding my stance a bit. And going to move them forward as well.

You're committed now! Did you chop that pole on the top vs on the bottom? Looks like you got rid of the hump and it looks much better than an SJ with a chopped old end and the goofy bend causing it to sit up. Keep it up!
 
Taking advantage of the rain day. Cut the rest of the tray out, got the old cooling lines and cable tube out. All that is going to get replaced with stainless including the exhaust. Which I will be using 2.5" tubing and moving it down under the tray and new footholds. Definitely going to reinforce the work I did this spring on the rear chop.

Did some more sanding and prepping for glass work. Ground out most of the extra green glue that was used to seal the hulls together. I know it's not saving a lot of weight doing it but it looks cleaner and every little bit helps. Also used some 5200 over the inserts for the pump, ride plate and intake grate. As it is right now which is pretty much stripped except the pole bracket and some fuel lines weighs about 92 pounds

No it's all cut off the bottom. Might be cause of the pole pad it looks that way?
 
Ya and more every time I look at it. But I still have 4 months to finish it. Where did you get the stainless tubing for your freak?

If you’re asking about cooling lines, I just ordered mine off onlinemetals.com. 4 feet for 15 bucks plus shipping. The closest size they had is 0.375" x 0.035" x 0.305" which is pretty damn close to stock. Make sure to get 316 stainless, NOT 304 as it will get eaten in salt water.

After gathering parts and materials for the last few weeks, today is the big day. I get to attempt vacuum bagging. The first try is just a flat piece that I will be using for my hood.
