Sidedraft intake manifold for Superjet?

Have someone tested that. Will it work good in limited engine? I think that i use manifold with "boost" bottles like R&D sidedraft manifold for SXR.

I have 44 SBN carbs that have been bored out and modified intakes and im also thinking that have they enough airflow for sidedraft manifold? Will i get any gains in performance. and i have 62t cases.

Im running Stock engine with protec head, mach 2 pipe with waterinjection and those 2x45mm carbs. And now have protec intakemanifold also.

And i dont have total loss ignition... only msd enhancer... im trying to get total loss before summer...

edit: correct cases

So you say you have 61X cases? Its not possible with 61X cases.

You could do sidedraft on 62T cases if you wanted to, but that is more of a race application, but you dont see it very often on PWC's at all due to water ingestion problems. For freestyle/freeride it would suck(literally)...lol Now if your gonna go really fast in a straight line it might be a advantage.

yep... i remember wrong that case type...

I know few fast ass SXR:s that uses Sidedraft intakes. And i know that they have been using sidedrafts in superstock superjets in late 90 But the reason why i am asking is that is there somebody who has tested sidedraft manifold with 44 or 46 sbn:s... all that i know uses 49 or 48 carbs...
And im not willing to spend money on novis or rivas carburetors

I dont do practically any surf or freeride... Just racing...

So are you racing with your setup? I have run a sidedraft on my gp800 engine blaster 1. If your racing I get it, if your all around riding then the performance won't be the issue. Water ingestion will be a problem and it won't be worth the performance gain. There is a gain on an all out engine but if you haven't gotten to that point then its not worth the risk. Your better off just getting a motor build with normal intake than going that route. What was the Seadoo 951 biggest problem ----water ingestion!
Errr, You just responded to a post from 11 years ago!!!!!!!!

Wow. I did a side draft search today and read this old thread before Egbrig responded!!!

I’ve ran side drafts on all my Kawasaki’s since 1996. On a superjet there isn’t much room. All performance two-stroke sit downs from 2000+ have had direct shot carbs.

The real question is.....when can you run jets up vs jets forward.
