Watch your tongue/tow ball weight and make sure the overhang (outside of the fenders) is within legal limits. Have seen this done on double place trailers but not on a single.

in reality you could get 3 skis on there like that. i'd run the bunks side to side with some brakets, instead of front to back like it is. one ski in the back, one right over the axle and one in front and the tongue weight will be good. I have a double sitdown trailer with 3 acrossed the back and one sideways in front. it has a box I could take off and make it a 5 ski. I do use the bigger 12" tires on that one tho.

Fitting more then one ski on a one ski trailor? Seems pretty obvious.....
I've never done it this way. My 2 place trailor has a bunk added up front sideways for a third ski but the other two are normal front to back.

There are threads on this forum where guys have taken a single place trailer & changed the bunks so that it carries 2 standup skis the regular way. THAT seems obvious to me.
Seems like loading & unloading could be an issue when the skis are loaded sideways...... depending on how steep the ramp is, one of them could be deep in the water, while the other is high & dry. THAT seems obvious to me.

I already have a 4 place trailer converted from a double couch trailer. My two boys ride with me which is the need for three skis minimum. When we travel a ways to ride we always take a fourth Ski as a backup so our trip isnt ruined if a Ski breaks down. However for short, local trips sometimes the “bigger” trailer is a nuisance ( maneuvering, parking, etc.) hence my question. I run 12” radial tires (which would have fit a geo metro) not trailer tires, so that’s not an issue. Loading and unloading is done via Beach cart, so that wouldn’t be an issue either. Was just curious if anyone had done this and what their setup looked like.
