HI, wondering if anyone can help with timing question...here is a list of what is on my superjet...760 62T motor bored to 95.5mm, stock porting, MSD ignition enhancer, MSD wires, type 9 dry pipe, 210 psi compression, riva girdled head, dual 44 carbs, reed spacer, delta force 3 reeds and other non motor stuff.

I am running BR9 plugs with the stator set at -4 degrees. It seems happy but i would like to know for sure what to set the stator at.

From what i read on the web it sounds like you find top dead center and using a degree wheel you find out when the pistons cover the ports on the upstroke and the leftover degrees is you max timing. Does this sound right?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Dan

No... if you're doing it like that your timing would be around 80 to 90 degrees.

What kind of gas are you using with that 62T cylinder with 210 psi and a type-9 dry pipe?

i'm running 93 octane with octane boost.

i ran the ski yesterday and it ran great. plugs are a hair rich but better than lean. i have to bring the timing back up to 0 to 2 degrees and lean it out slightly and it is good enough for rec riding.
