I like how you unloaded the TNT box then start knocking it. Nice.

This is where the "rumors" about the TNT box robbing power came from.

LOL at this comment...great contribution to a review thread!

Roo clearly stated that this was a thread on his findings, on his personal setups and it did not meet his style of riding....no where did he "knock" the TNT waterbox
 
I have been having a nightmare tuning the power factor. I have a dasa 1000 top end with kawasaki lower. Power factor superjet dry pipe. Ran like a champ in cold water this winter but as soon as it warmed up its really bogged down in low and mid. Top end still launches like it should any ideas to help with tuning this thing?

You can't run the same setup summer to winter.
Most boats will pull taller prop in cold water then what they can run in warm water and hot air.
Do what you can to get the engine temp and water jacket temps down in the pipe.
But most likely you need to drop little pitch in the prop
 
Alright I forgot to tell you in the winter the water box jet was plugged and it still ran decent in the cold. I did not know it was plugged until the water warmed up and it lost half the power. It will normally run alright for 30 second's or so then start bogging hard core and not habe enough power to get out of water on lower and midd is that seam consistent with the prop?

Great information, thank Roo and Tim. As you know a lot of time spent tuning can burn any one out. Thank you for doing it and writing it up, and Tim for working with that small percentage of guys running high compression and high timing.

Would it be possible to make stinger reducers (like the 33mm & 25mm reducers Factory pipe used to offer for the Type 9) for the V2 & V3 chambers, or would the existing stinger have to be cut off and replaced?
Yes we are making a stinger reducer. If you want one contact us and I will get you one.
To add to the stinger. We also found 4 more horse power with a different stinger design on several different engine packages

Brandon Lawlor and myself spent all weekend testing.
I tore down his dasa 1k and installed a PHP light weight crank, MSD, and made a few test pipe changes to go with 3 different water box designs.
As of right now with a different stinger design we went from a 7-13 to a 11-16 prop and we are still spinning the 11-16.
Have a couple more engines to test the new stinger design on before we can release it to the public.
But as of first tests it looks like we have found a large gain in the v2 and V3 pipe.
The new stinger also makes the different water box designs very difficult to notice any gains in all three designs even with TL and 230psi comp.
you can also run the pipe warmer for better mid top with less bottom end sacrifice.
But like I said we have only tested this as of know on a TNT SETUP DASA 1k.
Motor specs. Standard DASA port timing, all the port tunnels have been heavily modified and epoxied in places, cycle cross drilled for better cooling on intake side of the cylinder, TNT reshaped domes and squish angles.
MSD with 34 deg static timing retard starts at 4800 pulling back to final of 13. Running 80/20 pump gas c12 mix at 32to1.
Stock 46 carbs with TNT mod transition ports and back bored. 130 low, 125 high. 2.3 needle seat, 115 spring
H20 155 pump 92mm reduction nozzle 96mm steering nozzle
RRP scoop grate in a FFF HULL

I saw your thread.

I had a weld crack on mine, another member on our lake had 5 welds break (that is, 5 tiny breaks across 5 welds). He finally gave the pipe to a master welder, had the whole thing cut apart and rewelded at every joint.

I also know of another member who had a weld crack.

That said, TNT offered to fix / warranty, but shipping the system back and forth wasn't worth it and why we just had them repaired locally.
 
i understand your interrogation.
In fact as i said my friend try to weld the crack... at every time the exhaust crack at different place. My friend is not an experienced welder but it seems that his bad looking welds hold better than the original ones.
I dont know in USA but in France it s not so easy to found a good and cheap welder. where is the point to buy a brand new product and has to pay almost his price in labor to fix it ? This pipe was new and broke in 15 minutes...

They Are all like that @Jonsson. When you install the pipe put a large bead of rtv on the flange and use a heavy duty coupler. Install the pipe and let it dry. It will stop the chamber from bouncing around. No loss of power.

tight joint......Certainly cause swirl in the exhaust pipe
That's a mismatch of a power factor manifold and a modified tnt 3 chamber.
To post videos as facts when clearly Simone made a mistake isn't portraying the facts.
There only 1/16 clearance on v3 and 1/32 on v2.
If you install it properly with the outer step filled with the right stuff or black RTV silicone you won't have that metallic sound.
But something is very wrong with that

There been several mix ups of people buying v3 chamber and getting a power factor manifold

Would like to know where u got that video.
As there portraying that as a standard tnt product. And you can see in vid it's deg power factor manifold and a modified tnt chamber. If it's actually a tnt chamber
I have never welded a bung onto my chambers like that.

Only the very first couple of v2 chambers where like that when I was using power factor manifold.
None of the v3 chambers where loose
