Clean set of dual mikuni sbn44s with a R&D manifold port matched for vf3 reeds
Just went through them this summer before I put them on a new motor and have only had good gas though them since.
Jetting is at
2.0 N/S (new)
I would say the pump isn't letting the motor rev up off the bottom to full potential with a stock bore 155 nozzle. Bore it to around 88-90mm and it should be a huge difference. Tuning the pump takes some trial and error but its necessary to get the correct load on the pump.
Im running a skat 6/12 cutback 5mm with my OE155 and that feels really close to me on a strictly flatwater, racegas setup. Play with your reduction nozzle bore if you haven't already. I will also say running the correct amount of timing with a good ignition is a night and day difference.
haha for the record I've been running my 967 on AM 44s and it rips too. FW Flips came around perfect at sea level and i only have 4 hours of ride time on the ski. That being said 46s or 48s are now at the top of my list since i now have a good ignition set up and i know I'm leaving power on the...
Cases have to be fly cut pretty big on a mill to accept the big sleeves on these. Might be able to do some notchy work with a die grinder but cases get pretty thin and its probably better to spend the $350 to have it done right.
Just ordered a A02T from JM to put in my 967 and will just run the wax curve for these last few weeks of the season. JM mentioned in his post that there was a programming change so you don't have to remove the 3rd lump. My question is, should i just machine/grind that off to be safe or does the...
Did you ever open your nozzle to 90mm and did it help? Running a super similar set up at 87.75mm right now and feel like I’m missing out on a little on the pump end but also don’t want to go too big this early on in my tuning.
I need 2x thrust micro drains to finish up a build. Thrust said they won't have a re-stock for 2-3 months so if anyone has any extras let me know! I would prefer black, blue, or silver but will take what i can get.
No longer a Super Jet? Are we supposed to "be mad" because its not the same basic hull and motor as yamaha has been selling since 1990? Its the next generation, they needed an update. There will still be plenty of 2 stroke superjets that have been made over the last 30 years floating around the...
I gotta say I'm not a huge fan of the looks but with a aftermarket pole and chin pad I think that will take care of most of it. The thing that some people are missing here is that these big corperations (Yam/Kaw) are still listening to a relatively small demo (in the big picture of these...
