Great idea

When I travel I run a steel cable up thru the pump intake and around the driveshaft then around the trailer frame . You can get the cable coated on plastic also if you are concerned about scratches

What year and where is it located ?

It's usually the start stop switch. You can bypass it by jumping the connection at the plug under the hood.
