How would you have known if 9/15 would've been better? Have you tried a 9/15?
I think at the end it comes down to trial and error when we talk about slight pitch variance such as 9/15 or 10/16. You're right though about it just being a suggestion. So many factors come into play. I just wish...
I had an issue with water in my flywheel cover before. Silicone'd the crap out of the gasket and starter oring and problem solved. I highly recommend doing a leak down test while you're at it.

Been chatting with Dave @ Impros today and he defiantly recommends going Hooker over 13/16 cutback. Plus the cost to repitch and cutback is $120 so I'd be better off spending a hundred more and buying the Hooker to begin with. He said the Solas and Skat free ride are both small hub so you can...
So it seems like the skat swirl freeride and the Hooker are pretty similar in hookup and not much of a noticeable difference between both. Here's what Impros had to say:
"Our Hooker comes in a 9/15, 10/16 and 11/17 pitch. Like the Swirl, it is a large hub radial edge design. This style impeller...
I'm running a Solas 13/17 with nozzle bored to 86mm and also a stubby cone. My buddy and I run almost identical skis and he has the skat swirl freeride. It definitely has more hookup. Not so much from holeshot but more like continuous hookup as I ride up the face of a wave. Tough to explain but...
Tried searching this topic but found nothing. How are you guys mounting the throttle cable with a throttle drum installed? Or another way to ask is how do you torque down the bolt on throttle side with a throttle drum installed? Reason I ask is because I have zero room to tighten the bolt now...
Didn't mean to come off sounding like there was only one way to do it nor am I bashing on those that currently run this type of setup. My point is that there are far better ways to buy power than thinking a second carb on a 61x will make any noticeable gains. It's doable, sure, but 99% of the...
What are those so-called "reasons" though and what benefits (if any) in performance are there? If there were truly any noticeable gains from mixing/matching dual/single carbs then I'd imagine more people would be doing it.
Single big carb on a 62T might have its reasons sure but duals on a...
While I can't attest to 38's, it still begs the question of why he wants to run duals in the first place. Save yourself the trouble and tell him to stick with single carb or swap to T cases. I run a 61x single 44 and I love it. Hits crazy hard and about to hit even harder once I swap in a wetjet...
