Anyone tried it? I have everything for Ryan to build a complete X2 with a 750 motor except the only exhaust setup is a complete 650 stock setup.

It will work just not as well as a coffman or FP, do the pipe mod and lengthen the pipe center section and it should run pretty well

I had a stock X2 pipe on my stock big pin swapped x2 for a while. The thing couldn't get out of it's own way. It ran, but it was a total turd. Do your self a favor and put a pipe on the top of your list! I swapped it out for a Coffmans, and the ski feels great.

Anyone have directions on how to modify the stock pipe?

The situation is I found a ski for Ryan with a running 750 motor to swap into my X2 hull. He is going to do the 750 pump mod I found in a post here. He's going to run the 750 motor. The idea is to spend no money other than the donor ski the 750 came from ($175 less the amount I sell the trailer for). We're building w/in his budget, so spending several hundred on a 750 pipe is out of the question at this time. We have to work with what we have to get the ski in the water. When he finds moe work, I will help him find more parts. Right now, the 650 parts I have are free to him. The X2 when complete will probably cost $200 since I am providing a complete 650 X2 less the motor and pump.

do you have to change the pump to a 750 pump? or can it run with the 650 one

You can run a 750 motor with a 650 pump. I am. The only reason he's using the 750 pump is because I do not have a 650 pump to give to him.

I may actually take the 750 pump for my ski and put the 650 pump in his. My 650 pump with a 10/18 is cavitating. I have a 750 prop for mine but if I use a 750 pump there's no milling of the prop required.

my buddie has the small pin 750 in his 650sx with a stock exhaust system and it runs perfect. didnt have to touch the carb just bolted in and ran it. i just finished my flat deck build and have the 750 big pin in mine but i have a west coast pipe and water box and a mariner manifold. didnt touch the dual carb at all and it ran tits. im pretty sure a stock pipe would work but limit the power. everyone likes to mess with the stock carbs, i dont think you really need to unless the carb was messed up to begin with.

where did you pull your 750 motor from and what ele box did you use just curious

My motor is from a 1994 XI SS. I sold the stock dual 38s and am running a single 44 SBN on a R&D 750 manifold. I am running the stock electronics. I have a 650 westcoast exhaust manifold with a Kawi 750 B-pipe headpipe, a superjet limited chamber and a RN SJ waterbox.

I found Ryan a '93 XI for $175 and I got it running. He's going to run stock electronics with the stock carb and a 650 pipe at least until he can get another pipe.

stock 650 ele box with the 750 motor?? Dont you have to run the 750 ele box? what do you have to do to get it work right with that newer motor. my motor is out of a 96 zxi and i just have the huge ele box stapped in where the oil tank would go.

Sorry. I ment the stock electronics from the XI SS for the 750 motor. You can run 650 electronics in the 750 but it requires changing the flywheel, stator and etc. The advantage is the 650 electronics have a much lighter flywheel, that can perhaps be lightened even more. Do a search, some people have posts how to do it. I think you just have to tap the case to accept the 650 stator.

You also have to massage the ears that hold the stator in place, not difficult really just takes a bit of time.

Yeah that's what I thought. My 96 ele box is huge. Im not trying to mess with all that. I'll deal with it big. Any thoughts on the jet works flow control valve.??

I want one. I haven't ran one on my X2, but I know I need to dry out the pipe. If the amount of water going into my stinger is even half that going out my pisser, it's waaaay too much (currently no restriction, it's on a T off the cooling line as suggested by the FPP diagram).

Any pics. I think I have my flat deck cooling set up wrong. I want to put an extra port on my head, keep it a little cooler. Either drill one in the stock head or I was gonna buy a ocean pro high compression head to get mo power but they only have one cooling port too. Have to drill that one too. That flow valve sounds like it should work pretty good but I'm worried about it heating up everything else
