The Front Flip

Pete is the onlyone who has even talk about this trick and i think it can be done with the right wave.
I ride barge waves that are about six feet with anought HP i think i can do this off the top of one of them.
I can do one and a half off of a diving board so with a 300 pound ski i mite make it.
Ok iam looking for some help with this. Anyone

Thanks mike

mike ... do i remember that not to long ago you were selling the sj that you just got due to a bad back??
now why would you try a 1.5 flip with a sj strapped to your back?

Your right.and it still hurts alot but as long as i can ride and still work thats what i wll do.i just need to stop drinking so much, it halps with the pain but not with the riding. So what was your point?

Where have you seen this and how???
On a barge wake you just need anought power to get off the top of it i dont see it doing it in the surf.

No he's asking where you saw the video of someone doing a front flip.

Better chance of doing a front flip in the surf. FF is pretty much impossible. do tot he weight of the craft...the power is what lets the ski fli when its already 90 degrees on a wave

I think it probably could be done, a nice downwards trim would help throw the nose down to get you going that direction. Go for it!

Word! :Banane01:

Mike - this is not an easy trick, which is why you don't see the gods of the sport like Malone and Kenny doing it. A backflip is a lot easier when you think about it - by the time you nail the throttle off a wave you're already rotating in the right direction (and are 1/4 of the way around). With a front flip, how do you start the forward rotation? You're going to need a good sized wave to get enough air, but that wave will already have the ski rotating the wrong way.

I wish you luck, but don't get too disappointed when front flip attempts just lead to pain and frustration.

How about a backie with a twist so that you come down into a re-entry onto the wave behind the wave you just left. (not in the ocean)

On Lake Erie our waves are so close together that this is the only way I can imagine doing a bflip locally.
