I had a blast on Saturday at Victoria/Day Use. I rode it for about 2 hours. Was able to stand and cross the lakea few times. I fell maybe 20 times. Kneeling - I figured out how to do a 180 slide following by popping out of the water a good 1~2 feet. I fell off almost every time though. This ski runs so great I absolutely love it!

Sunday, I decided to do a hull-on restoration. Pulled everything off/out the hull I could including the engine, pump, pole, hydroturf... Anything which bolts to the hull is removed at this point. I stripped some nasty paint off the hood pieces already and am going to prep those for black paint by the weekend. I got pretty far in the first day to the point where I already fiberglass re-inforced the footholds and a few spots I thought weak like the pole area. I used Marine Tex to fix/fill the area which was never finished - gas cap relocation, and also Marine Tex on a few disintegrating areas. For under the belt-line - I'll be using GelCoat Finish applied via the roll/tip method - Really only going to be rolling with a supper smooth foam roller. Hoping it will fill the scraped underneith after 2~3 coats. I'll nib the coat down with 400/600 wet grit and compound to a shine.

For the engine, I'm going to rebuild the stock carbs only. I'll leak test and see how it'll work from there since it's out.

I need to get my impeller replaced or refinished. its pretty mangled around the leading edges. Wear rings seems to be OK. Anyone local have a spare with tools?

Broke the carbs down. Someone didnt replace the main jet! Found 130s. Going to put in 135s. Here is what the carbs are going to come out as:

1.5NS
95g Springs
~43psi pop-off
70 low
135 high

Chokes removed
Aftermarket flame arrestors

Sound good?

Just about finished bringing this ski back from the depths of UGLY! Look at me now!! Ski looks showroom condition.

Finished a hull-on restoration. Spent about $1000 or so on new look-good stuff.

-New GelCoat
-New Paint
-New Hydroturf
-Fixed Pole
-New Graphics Kit (Motorhead from AMR)
-Painted engine bay (Yes everythinhg was removed during renovation)
-Fiberglass sheet/Resin areas of concern; footholds, behind some small cracks, pole mount points. Prety much evertyhing inside the hull has at least one layer now.
-Homemade Dolly pictured
-Hid everything I could in enginebay - rerouted and covered wires and hoses with loom or hid things out of the way

I'm coming Saturday morning to the Lake Allatoona weekend event!

Here are done engine bay pics. I painted the hull inside ceramic black. Left the engine alone just cleaned it up. Carbs jetted and rebuilt. I tried my best to hide every hose, clamp, and wire, and loom up the rest with quality loom.
