just installed them on my X-2 I used bolts on one side and screws on the inside. It went pretty easy. I will get some better picks this weekend.

The way Nick (Yamaslut)did them looked super trick man and solid too .:hail:
He welded an acorn nut to a large flat washer and epoxied it to the tray and used bolts to hold the straps down .He used four of these so the strap was adjustable .
Kind of a lot of work but the most solid and long lasting you can do I believe .:Banane01:

On the second phase part of that thread the fourth pic over to the right .
Shows the four nuts sticking up out of the epoxy for the bolts to go into

Exactly... very cool and didn't require drilling holes through the tray.

this is the slutty mod I just did a few weeks ago...

i may have overdone the glass a little.....

easy though...

weld an SS acorn nut to a SS washer...ground shwag off bottom so it sits flat..

epoxy, glass..whatever to bottom of hull after a good roughing and acetone cleaning...

On my old X2 I used some hull inserts. Epoxied them in and then bolted the straps to em. Rock solid.
Hope that helps

I got two 2" X 2" X 1/4" pieces of aluminum, cut holes the same size out of the tray, glassed them in, and tapped the aluminum.

i basically did the same thing. but i possitioned my straps in a way that ive never seen anyone else do before.
