Spring 2008 Lone Star Freeride (help pick a date)

I've heard several comments about changing the date of the spring ride.

So now's your chance - speak up!

March was decided due to spring break going on down the beach and because it might be easier if someone wanted to bring thier kids due to being on vacation.

I'm fin with whenever ya'll want to do it - I would like to keep the date to coincide with a full moon...that seemed to work well for the night time pit bike races.

The water gets a bit warmer in April, by May it hits mid 70's.

I'd like to see a turnout for this March that rivals the '05 and '06 rides.

Since we didn't find a place in Corpus to accommodate our venue, maybe a change in time will work. However, I think the Co-Tex Alliance will be in effect... as always.

I like the spring break time (same as last year) But if we can get more people on a different date that would be great.

Weather is always a crapshoot in spring. I think March (and cooler temps) may keep some people from coming.

This year there were just too many conflicts. Everyone was having flip-offs for Joe. hell, the water still warmer than most people ride in all year. I think the Spring break date is good. I would expect the 2008 ride to be bigger. But I am cool with whatever like Moonie said.

It was a tad bit chilly at night last march. Of course the 40 mph winds didn't help either.

Just let me know when. A reliable source says that our daddy, Parrdaddy will be in attendance. Talked to Royal Flush while on the beach Saturday night, said he and Jeremy will most likely come for the March ride.

I think we'd still have a good chance for surf till mid/late april

usually september is flat - we got lucky this time.

Last March was kinda cool temperature wise but wetsuit gives some scuff protection

The "normal" time works fine for me. Seems like the combination of Spring Break, St Patricks Day & a full moon (hopefully) is always a recipe for a good time. Any later and I start getting busy at work. Like Brad said, its still freezing in CO at that time so it is a nice "pre-season" getaway for us.
That being said, I am open to other ideas as well... just not February!!!

Still sorry I missed last weeks fetivities... too close to Pismo though. How about we plan next years Sept ride a little earlier in the month? BTW, did anybody even ride??? LOL! all I see is "lifestyle" (read drunk) pics! ha ha ha!!! :beerchug:

I have some great pics, but they're too high res to load into the gallery or as thumbnails and I'm too computer stupid to figure it out. I have several loaded into photobucket now, but still figuring out how to post a link. You can go to photobucket and look at OddDuck8 photo album from Crystal Beach Sep 26-30 subalbum. I'll keep working on the link and post it in the pics thread. Sorry I'm a computer dork.

Oh, and date wise, last year was good for me, but I'm open as long as I know far enough ahead - at least 3-4 months.
