Starting my Blaster build, but have a few questions. What type of midshaft does a blaster use. I had ones from a SJ and I think a Raider (see attachments) but neither fit. Also does a blaster use the same driveshaft as a SJ? Any help is appreciated. Thanks------------Jeff

Heh....yep....he wanted it gone! I was happy to help! All titled and ready for drivetrain. I'm gonna put the 650 motor in it. It will be a little under powered but good for a backup or loaner.

Still hoping to find a Blaster expert to help with my original question. I also have a Wave venture Midshaft and motor mounts (as I need Motor Mounts too). I think if I use the Venture midshaft housing with the SJ midshaft it may work but the mounts look like superjet mounts not the straight B1 mounts as stated in this post I found.

the blaster uses the same midshaft as the 94+ superjet. the driveshaft is different. atlantic jet sports sells shafts for pretty cheap.

WD, he wants to run an SJ pump, any way to adapt it without changing the shaft?

I have 2 extra shafts if the 91 SN shaft won't fit, so sure, I'll hook ur bro up....

Do you know if the Venture housing is the same as the B1/94+ SJ. I know the midshaft itself has the same part No. but the housing has a different part number. Thanks for the input.

the venture housing is the same you just have to take the spacer off. press out the shaft from the back side. if you don't have a press a BFH will do.

Let me know a price on the shaft. Thanks.

the venture bearing housing will work just take off the adapter from the back. and the pump will work BUT the sj has threaded holes at the wear ring to take the long bolt from the nozzle. its what ties it all together. you can still make it work you just need to either tap the holes and find some long azz bolts for it, or find some stockers the right length and put nuts on em. I have also bolted each section together takes 8 nuts and bolts. ( soo ghetto but got it done)

I was not aware the shafts were the same Wavedemon, my little book tells me
1990-1993 and 1995-2001 are the same but doesn't list the 1994. Good to know. thanks.

oh and the mounts should work too I believe. as long as they are the angled type it will fit. if the mounting pad is even with the top ( parallel ) then its a no go. pretty sure they are right though.
