Pictures are in the back of the thread.

Well... for the past few months i've been building up a roundnose that i bought this in summer of 2007. The ski was tricked out for racing in the limited class back in the mid-late 90s. Well i decided to convert to a freestyle setup. I have really got a chance to make a thread on here, i am taking the time today to start one up. Pictures below are the original ski, before converting.

with everything out of the hull, i then started on cleaning, deturfing, taking the stickers off. Taking the turf off was PITA. stickers came off nicely with a little heat (heat gone).

Took a break with the hull after it was stripped and went ahead and ported my cylinders. I did a lot of reading on the web (mostly on x-h20) about porting and calculated my porting job. I prob. spent a good 3 hours on each port - carefully making it wider. I then sent the cylinder to Paul Lehr, to have him check it out and have the transfers ports cut and clean, and to bore the cylinders.

I have to say Paul Lehr is by far the best guy in the business i've dealt with so far. Great guy, would recommend to anyone! (as most people on here talk good things about him)

Here are a few pictures of the porting.

Now the fun part....... footholds - I put in the REV footholds from WDK. Didn't think it would be as challenging as it was. But it is still my first build. Took around 4 hours to put these bad boys in.

Now sanding, sanding , sanding, sanding, and even more sanding. With countless hours on sanding the ski, i start preping for paint. I layed down the primer the other night. I am using the Interlux Brightside system.

I roller the primer on.

I didn't take much sanding pictures. these are pcitures with the primer on.

Also i covered up the fuel take inlet.

I am choosing a black and light blue scheme. I am thinking something kind of basic, with blue on top and black on bottom. Here is a test i did on the hood to see how the paint will come out. This Brightside paint really does level it self out pretty good. I just used a foam brush to apply the paint. I will prob. go with a good brush when i do the entire ski. The paint is nice and glossy too.

***Please throw out any color scheme idea you may have.***

I am thinking...

Top - blue
Pole - black
Bottom- black
