No Crystal Beach Ride.

Crystal Beach is shut down for the next month.

The Crystal Beach ride will not happen.

Pengun, Moonie and I made it to CB via boat today..
It looks like a bomb went off. 3-4 inches of mud on everything.
3/4 of the beach houses are gone including Jubile and Sundial.
The house across from Penguins is gone and im sorry to say so is Penguins house.

Going down oneal road from the main drag I only saw one house on the right side of the road and just a few on the left. I was not able to make it down there, only Penguin made it past the cops.

Be sure to watch the ABC National news, Dateline, Good Morning America and ABC.com for the interview with Penguin. He helped carry a ABC news crew to CB

Shawn I am so sorry about your house. Words cant described how I feel for you bro.

One good thing is we did rescue a beautiful dog. She was stranted on a island and was so glad to have us pick her up. If we cant find the owner either shawn or I will keep her.
I will load up some pics in a bit. Shawn has pics of the houses in his area.

WE are going to rebuild it. We sat thinking.. what is worse having a house that needs torn down, with everyones crap in your yard. Or a empty lot.

I think the Empty lot wins.

I talked to Shawn tonight. I just can't believe it. I saw my first images on the news at my folk's house. We have no power or phone service. I was at work for 24 hours until this afternoon. I have been somewhat out of touch to what it looks like out there.

Damn. I saw the fly by from local Channel 2 news (nbc) today. It was sick how that side of the island took it. It must have been good (as in closure/finality) to at least get over there and see it. I'm just glad you guys didn't ride out the storm.

When the time comes I will be there with tools to help. We got back Sunday and are still without power but doing well. We have been helping out our neighbor who suffered major water damage when her roof failed.

Thanks to Shawn who out of the blue called me on Friday to make sure we had someplace to go besides staying in League City. He barley knows me and offered his home in houston if needed.

WOW !! Sorry Shawn.. I sat at home watching it on TV the other night.. I started to call you a few times but..
I wish I had those pictures from a few years back to post so the guys could see what it used to look like.. Well, I guess those nieghbors that were chasing us in our golf carts wont care if we drive on their grass for awhile ! Sorry Bro !!
