She sold her SXR to build a SJ. The SXR was to heavy for her. It took a month or so to find a good place to start. Found a mint 01 other than the motor being locked up from water were it sat outside for 2-3 yrs. Good thing was it was CHEAP! Got it home, tore into it, cases full of water, some people are just stupid and don't take care of there stuff. Going to start tearing it apart.

That's sweet as hell Ed. We need to plan something else as far as a little ride this year. I don't know about repeating Carolina Beach haha.

She is going to love the SJ :Banane09:

You sending that motor to Jetworks too?

Yeah, we need to get something planned for this summer. There's nothing wrong w/ C. Beach just got to be prepared.:pokey: You know her SJ's going to be sporting some jetworks magic :bigok:

It's torn completely down now going to get started reinforcing. I heard SJ's need it. Erica has been helping alot & it's fun to be spending her money.:thinkerg:

Nice....good to see a girl hard at work! Can't wait to see the finished result!:wiggle:

Cool I know she enjoyed riding the SJ's. Keep the pics coming.

Mark44

Yeah, Mrs.C she has been working hard. The only thing she hates is the fiberglass but she sticks w/ it.I got the footholds ready for glass then she ground the ribs out and was cussing :censored: the whole time. We taped some plastic to the side of the boat to keep dust down & threw the hose from the shop vac inside. It worked like a charm.:woot:

Hey Mark! The St. Lois crew needs to come to Wave Daze this year. It's a blast. Tell Katie & everyone we say hello.

Got the bond line filled. The fiber board worked great. Made a pattern to lay on the carbon, outlined w/ a silver sharpie. Picked up some fray block, which worked great for keeping the edges from fraying. It's like a thin super glue, when you put it on it flows into the fiber so it's easier to cut and work with.

The board is used in boat building, picked it up from a local guy along w/ the scrap carbon. He builds small race boats. The board is solid, cut to size, and shape w/ sand paper. What I did was mix up some resin and microballoon, poured in the bond line and then pressed the board in. The fray block can be picked up @ Wal-Mart in the craft section. You don't need to apply as much as the pic shows. If you get to much on there it will close up the fabric and it won't soak up resin.
