I just finished putting a stock (minus 4") RN pole on my square. Wasn't hard, just time consuming.
Things that need to be done/fabricated/modified:
-take an airsaw and hack off 1/4" from the nose of the pole pivot (exposing the squae holes) and grind that cut flat.
-I ground the area between my pole bracket ears flat, but then had to build up some flat spots (w/epoxy or jb weld) for my hood hooks to sit on, as well as drill/tap for the hood hook bolts.
-Chopped some length off my pole springs to make them fit into the RN pole
-Moved my hood hooks out so they sit ~1/8" inside the pivot ears on the pole bracket.
-Ground/filled the dip in the hood so that the right side hood hook would mount flat to my hood.
-I was able to find some stainless washers that filled in the gap between the pole pivot and the bracket ears.
-Stock SN steering cable works great, no modification needed.
-Cut down a RN chinpad so it wouldnt hit the hood.
Thats about all I can think of for now, I'll try and take some pics tonight and post them up.
Good luck
EDIT: You must use a pole limiting rope with this setup!
